GATHER: Ostara (Spring Equinox)

Join Juli Ford and Anjali Budreski for a sacred online gathering to celebrate Ostara (Spring Equinox) and the time in the year dedicated to the energies of rebirth and renewal.

The spring equinox represents a welcome season of rebirth and renewal, when daylight and nighttime are roughly equal once again, which brings about a sense of balance and ease. Ostara is named for the Anglo-Saxon Goddess Eostre who represented spring and new beginnings. The word also provides the root of our modern word, “east,” from which the sun rises.  The bright half of the year, which begins on Ostara, is an invitation to return to the physical world, including the physical body, literal or metaphorical fertility, and the pleasures of food, flowers, and friends.

Symbolically, it’s a new day—a chance to plant seeds, to build new things, and to discover what is growing within and without.
